Dear Boy Scouts of America,

I am filled with a sense of awe and heartfelt respect for all of your efforts and organization in Operation On Target. Like any great accomplishment or goal that you are striving for, the journey and the work that gets you to that goal is often the most rewarding. And to make this great moment even more special, you are able to work hard and plan with others, learning leadership, cooperation, and interaction skills that can take you further and higher than any mountaintop.

As you look back on this project and all of your experiences, it will be the relationships formed and wisdom gained from those relationships that will be most memorable and valuable.

It is so great to see our nation's youth gathered together in great causes. A stereotype of youth has been selfish thought and behavior, that is why great causes and service through worthwhile organizations such as the Boy Scouts is so necessary in each of our development and progression. For we must never forget, the measure of our lives is what we share.
